    Our Story

    Pelagic Shoal was founded by Matt Countryman and Brauch Williams — two professionals with deep roots in energy land services and title research. After years of working independently across the industry, they joined forces to build something different: a single firm that delivers land acquisition, title examination, and safety training under one roof.

    Today, Pelagic Shoal operates in 22+ states across the United States. We serve renewable developers, utilities, oil & gas operators, law firms, and municipalities — anyone who needs expert land services, thorough title work, or NFPA-aligned safety training for modern energy systems.
